Summer Fayre 2010

The summer fayre was a great success! There were a variety of stalls and games alongside a karate show, and a fire service visit. ( Which turned out to be dramatic when they had a call out!). The local police had a penalty shoot-out with a twist - if you scored a goal you could give them a soaking in the stocks! A big thanks to them for donating all their takings to us and the fire service for gi.....

PET SERVICE is a Great Success.

This service took place on July 1st. None of us quite knew how many pets would bring their owners, or what would occur during the service. To say that we were surprised by the response is an understatement. We were THRILLED. The church was full of Dogs, Cats, Hamsters, Guinea Pigs, Rats and of course their owners. What a lovely selection of animals and what original names they had. The owners w.....

Concert by the Choirs of Emmanuel Parish Church, Wylde Green

After weeks of excitement from me and many others, the day finally arrived. Once again, a Cathedral standard Church Choir would be singing within Emmanuel! What made it even more special was it was the choir I sing in when I'm not playing at Bentley! The choirs of Emmanuel, Wylde Green have a national and international reputation. In 2007 the choirs sang at such British Venues as Yorkminster Ca.....

On 10th of November, Emmanuel held its 6th Monthly Recital, and this time everyone was treated to an afternoon of music for Trumpet and Organ, a beautiful combination if I do say so myself! Classics to Classical Concert

A group of very talented and versatile people entertained a packed church to music and gymnastic dance routines. Nothing unusual about that you may think, but these people were all under the age of sixteen, with the youngest only eleven years old. We were delighted by the performances of everyone involved. Our church organist Richard Dawson presented the programme with himself playing the organ.....
